The series evolves around the sentiment of being in the moment followed by an urge to keep those memories that inevitably fade from our consciousness.
This tiny island is where thoughts are fading away
from a daily life and mind is switches off aligning with the sound of the ocean
I started to document this limited space where not much was happening
But after some time of looking at those picture they brought a new meaning.

The fading colors refer to fading memory.
The holidays that no longer exist, the people we no longer see. We try to keep our memory alive but it’s fading away like the color of the sea and the sky.
This longing for getting our memories back and vivid
is a state of mind. You can’t hold on to it.
It’s like gravity of your thoughts doesn’t exist anymore.
The photographs are the only thing keeping us awake, if we see pictures we memorize the places, we refresh our memory.

So what happens if even the pictures are fading,
the shapes are disappearing, the contrast is blending.
This series presents a fading process that consumes our recollection of what used to be our life,
what gets slowly erased from our memory and might even completely disappear before we’ll get a chance to regain it.
